Most operators assume a strong password is all the protection their business account needs. That assumption stopped holding up years ago. Passwords get reused, phished and stolen by malware every day, and once someone has yours, nothing else stands between them and your account.
That’s why two-factor authentication (2FA) is now available on GNet Connect. With 2FA turned on, signing in takes your password plus a one-time code sent to your email. A stolen password on its own is no longer enough.
What your GNet account actually protects
Your GNet profile isn’t just a listing. It’s where your business meets the network:
- Job requests and bookings from partner operators
- Your partner relationships and affiliate network
- Passenger details: names, phone numbers, pickup and drop-off addresses
- Your company profile, rates and reputation on the network
Why two-factor authentication matters for your business, partners and passengers
For your business. A compromised account can mean lost jobs, a changed profile, or messages sent in your name.
For your partners. On a B2B network, trust travels between accounts. A hijacked account can be used to send convincing fake jobs or payment requests to the operators you work with.
For your passengers. They trust you with their personal details. Protecting the account that holds them is part of that responsibility.
How 2FA works on GNet Connect
- Go to Account Settings → Security and turn on two-factor authentication.
- Sign in with your email and password as usual.
- GNet sends a one-time verification code to your email.
- Enter the code, and you’re in.
There’s no app to install. If you can read your email, you can use 2FA.
One tip: your email account becomes your second lock, so protect it with its own strong password and 2FA.
Part of a bigger commitment to security
2FA is the first step in a broader security program at GRiDD Technologies. Behind the scenes, we’re also:
- Requiring multi-factor authentication for our own team on internal and admin systems
- Tightening access so team members only see what their role requires
- Continuously scanning our code and dependencies for vulnerabilities and exposed credentials
- Keeping our platform and its components up to date
Security isn’t a feature we ship once. It’s how we run the network.
Questions About Two-Factor Authentication
What is two-factor authentication?
A second verification step at sign-in. On GNet Connect, it’s a one-time code sent to your email after you enter your password.
Is 2FA required?
It’s optional today, and we strongly recommend turning it on.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Codes are delivered to your email.
What if I don’t receive the code?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it still hasn’t arrived, contact us at [support email].
Does 2FA cost anything?
No. It’s included with every GNet Connect account.
