On January 28, 2026, the GNet community came together for a live workshop introducing Transpo App, a new booking and trip-management solution designed specifically for independent chauffeurs and small fleet operators.
The session was hosted by Yasmin Zafar and Sina Naeemi, with moderation by Paula Deiasi of Chicago Coach Works and the Illinois Limousine & Bus Association. The workshop featured a live product walkthrough by Drew Dimas, who developed TranspoApp to address long-standing challenges faced by small operators in a fragmented technology landscape.
The Problem: Too Many Systems, Not Enough Connectivity
During the session, Drew shared insights from over a decade in the limousine and ground transportation industry. Independent operators often juggle multiple apps and platforms just to manage bookings, communicate with partners, and confirm trip statuses—especially for time-sensitive ASAP rides.
This fragmentation leads to:
- Inconsistent communication with affiliates and clients
- Manual workflows and missed opportunities
- Limited visibility into available drivers and vehicles
- Difficulty presenting a professional, standardized experience
These challenges are exactly where GNet plays a critical role by enabling standardized, system-agnostic connectivity across the industry.
The Solution: What Is Transpo App?
Transpo App was introduced as a lightweight, mobile-first booking and trip-management system built for:
- One-car / one-driver operators
- Independent chauffeurs
- Small fleets managing up to 5–10 vehicles
The goal is simple: give small operators one place to manage trips, communicate professionally, and stay connected to the broader GNet network.
Key principles behind the app:
- Minimal setup
- Clean, professional outputs
- Seamless integration with GNet
- No need to replace existing large-scale dispatch software
Core Features Demonstrated in the Workshop
GNet Integration & Trip Management
Drew demonstrated how operators can receive and confirm GNet trip requests directly in Transpo App. Flights are automatically linked to FlightAware, and new trips can be created with minimal required input. The app validates trip details before setting them live, reducing errors and manual follow-up.
Partner Farm-Out Functionality
Transpo App makes it easy to farm out trips to trusted partners using an invitation code. Operators can:
- Set the payout amount for the receiving partner
- Send the booking as a request
- Allow the partner to confirm or decline
This workflow simplifies collaboration between small operators while keeping pricing and responsibilities clear.
Location Broadcasting & Availability
One of the most discussed features was live location broadcasting to GNet. When enabled, available drivers appear on a shared map, allowing larger operators and affiliates to quickly identify nearby independent drivers for potential assignments.
The long-term vision is proactive collaboration, finding partners in advance, exchanging documents, or dispatching trips instantly when availability is visible.
Professional Confirmations & Receipts
Transpo App generates clean, professional trip confirmation and receipt PDFs, which can be shared via email or text. During the discussion, Paula Deiasi emphasized an important best practice: confirmations should not be sent directly to passengers for affiliate trips to avoid confusion.
To protect affiliate relationships:
- GNet trips cannot be farmed out
- Passenger contact details are removed after trip completion
Scheduling, Compliance & Professional Standards
The app includes both:
- A private calendar for confirmed trips
- A public availability calendar that shows redacted availability without exposing client details
Operators can also manage:
- Vehicles and drivers
- Driver roles (admin, driver, observer)
- Insurance documents and custom licenses
The discussion reinforced that professional standards matter. Having current insurance, licenses, and the ability to quickly provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) builds trust and directly impacts how much affiliate work an operator receives.
Marketing, Networking & Growing as an Independent Operator
Beyond software features, the workshop covered real-world advice:
- Maintain a clean vehicle and professional appearance
- Network with other chauffeurs and dispatchers
- Use GNet profiles to showcase fleet, services, and airport coverage
- Search GNet by market (e.g., “DFW”) to proactively find partners
Drew emphasized that while having a website helps, operators can still generate meaningful business using Transpo App and GNet alone.
What’s Coming Next for Transpo App
Drew also outlined future development plans, including:
- Multi-language support
- Payment integrations (with a small transaction-based fee model)
- AI-powered features such as answering services
- “Find Transpo,” a public booking and availability map
Community feedback during the session highlighted areas under active consideration, including improved background location broadcasting, international use cases, and potential workflow safeguards.
Community Support & What’s Next
Both GNet and the Illinois Limousine & Bus Association expressed strong support for tools that benefit independent operators and raise industry standards. The session concluded with an announcement of an upcoming GNet User Group meeting on March 1st, where further updates will be shared.
